Rotunda do Infante D. Henrique
Placed by the Rotunda do Infante, you’ll find one of the most historic spots in the island – the statue of Infante D. Henrique.
This Portuguese navigator was very important at his time, between the years of 1425 and 1460 during the Portuguese Age of Maritime Exploration and Discovery, mainly because of the role he played on finding and occupying the archipelago of Madeira.
