To every tourist coming to Madeira Island, or anywhere else in world for that matter, there are some basic questions to be answered. Some of those are, where can I get the best prices for my staying, what are the best hotels in Madeira, how can I save some money with my flights, of course, what’s the best car hiring for me in that particular place.

With that in mind, our team provides you with useful links for your car hiring during your Madeira Island vacations! In particular, this post covers the companies operating at Funchal Airport.

Also, we recommend you get insurance car in order to protect yourself and your family. The mountain area can be a bit tricky to drive if you’re not used to it… so, this way if you run into problems, you can easily relax about your car rental in Funchal, Madeira because you have auto insurance. (By the way, we also recommend to get 24 Hour breakdown cover from your car rental service, just in case.)

Ask your rental dealership for rental car auto insurance and what kind of services and prices they provide. The way to get the best deal for your insurance is to check with at least 3 companies before you hire a car and buy insurance with them. Insurance Quotes you should look for: all compulsory insurance’s and Collision Damage Waiver insurance, Theft Protection Insurance, Third Party Liability Insurance.

As for the low cost and budget cars, remember, not always the cheapest car provides you with the service you need. This is mostly true if you’re planning on exploring the interior of the island. In that case, we also recommend you opt in for the GPS service! But, if you’re planning on staying most of your time by the city centre, maybe you don’t even need to hire a car at all. There are many public transportation alternatives providing a great and regular service from the airport to Funchal and all around the city. And public transportation is definitely the best way to meet people and learn all about the most visited places!
